The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, or COMESA, has taken a significant step toward its long-sought goal of financial integration. Its experimental Digital Retail Payments Platform, meant to make cross-border transactions as easy as local ones, has entered user trials along the Malawi–Zambia corridor after months of technical testing.
